Member of Finance & Governance Committee
Jennifer Brauer has experience in elementary and early childhood education, and she has a background in business and consulting with a focus on building teams and developing new programs. Jen serves as the Director of Partnerships - Birth to Three Connections for Preschool Promise. She is also a member of the Leadership Dayton Class of 2024.
Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Miami University and a Master’s of Business Administration from Indiana Wesleyan University. Her non-profit committee service includes Sweet Cheeks Diaper Bank, Ohio Diaper Bank Coalition, and Dress for Success.

Tiffany R. Countryman is a passionate community advocate, storyteller, and theatre professional dedicated to uplifting communities through the arts and activism. With over a decade of experience serving and advocating for others, Countryman uses her voice to shed light on important issues, particularly those affecting marginalized communities.
Ms. Countryman is the Engagement & Learning Coordinator of The Human Race Theatre Company, a Crohn's Awareness Advocate, an accomplished Playwright, a Creative-Writing Coach, and a Community Documentarian.
Countryman has been recognized for her impact and contributions with various awards, many of which highlight her excellence in leadership, advocacy, and the arts. She is also an active member of The Dramatist Guild, The International Documentary Association and The Dayton Leadership Alumni Association (Class of 2025), a prestigious program through the Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce.

Ashton Hood is the Assistant Attorney General for the Ohio Attorney General's Office - Civil Rights Section. He is also the Executive Director of the Columbus Cultural Orchestra and a proud member of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity. Mr. Hood is a former middle school teacher and Teach For America alum.
Mr. Hood earned his Doctor of Law degree in Education and Employment from the University of Cincinnati College of Law and his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Government from Lehigh University.

Mrs. Murray has over 20 years of experience in both direct care and supervision of direct care. She is a leader in therapeutic direct care for homeless youth, having served as associate clinical director and housing manager at Daybreak for 11 years and as Chief Program Officer since 2020, leading the organization through the delivery of services amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. She is a licensed social worker (MSW) with an additional Master’s Degree in Applied Behavioral Science, a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice and is a distinguished member of the Leadership Dayton Class of 2023.

Carol Prewitt is the President at Prewitt Consulting LLC.
Ms. Prewitt is a native Daytonian, mother, grandmother, educator, business owner - Prewitt Consulting LLC, Civility, Etiquette and Business Protocol Training, community volunteer, mentor, public servant, servant leader, and United States Air Force veteran. She received her BA in Sociology from St. Leo University. Carol is a Leadership Council for Nonprofits Certified Nonprofit Board Leader. One of her favorite pearls of wisdom is, “It is easier to build strong children than to repair broken men.” (Frederick Douglass)

Abi Sullivan serves as the Assistant Chief Deputy at the Montgomery County Clerk of Courts Auto Title Division. As a long-standing resident of Montgomery County, Mrs. Sullivan played a pivotal role in establishing the Montgomery County Clerk of Courts Help Center. This center provides county residents with access to programs and resources that facilitate a better understanding of legal issues and the navigation of the court system.
Mrs. Sullivan holds a degree in Communications-Public Relations from Southern New Hampshire University and is a distinguished member of the Leadership Dayton Class of 2023. She takes pride in her role as a devoted wife to Daniel Sullivan and a loving mother to Nathan and Shirley.

Carlos Walker, a seasoned probation and court services professional, has emerged as a leader in the field over his nearly 30-year career, including executive and community leadership. Since 2020, Carlos has been serving as the Director of Montgomery County Adult Probation, the fifth-largest Common Pleas Department in Ohio. In this role, he passionately leads a team of probation professionals, demonstrating his accountability for the department’s strategic direction and operations.
A native of Lima, Ohio, a 1996 graduate of Central State University, and a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., the first black Greek fraternity. Carlos holds several certifications crucial to his role and demonstrates his professional qualifications and expertise. He is certified in ORAS (Ohio Risk Assessment System), which is a vital tool in assessing the risks and needs of offenders, OPOTA (Ohio Peace Officer Training), which is essential for law enforcement officers, and OHLEG (Ohio Law Enforcement Gateway), a secure, web-based system that provides law enforcement agencies with access to critical information. Carlos’s active involvement with the Ohio Chief Probation Officer Association (OCPOA) includes his recent election as the first black President commencing January 1, 2025 for a two-year term, the American Probation and Parole Association, State Representative 2019-2021, Ohio Supreme Court Judicial College, Training Committee, Board Member with T.C.N. Behavioral Health, and the Sinclair Community College Sociology Department is a testament to his unwavering commitment to public service and the community. His dedication to these organizations aligns with his broader commitment to making a positive impact in the fields of probation, court services, and the community at large.
In 2019, Carlos and his team at the Greene County, Ohio , Xenia Municipal Court were honored with the George W. Farmer Award from the Ohio Chief Probation Officers Association. This prestigious award is given to a probation or community corrections officer or team who has outstandingly performed their assigned duties and made significant contributions to their respective probation or community corrections profession at the local, regional, or state level. In June 2025, Carlos was awarded the Vincent Polito Award for executive leadership. This award is presented to a probation or community corrections executive who has performed their duties in an outstanding manner and/or made significant contributions to their respective probation or community corrections profession at the local, regional, or state level. In 2021, Carlos’s passion and vision led to the establishment of Kushinda Court, a specialized docket in Montgomery County, Ohio, serving African American males aged 18-29, with oversight provided by Judge E. Gerald Parker, Jr. This initiative further solidified his reputation as a leader in the field.
Carlos is a 25-year resident of Xenia, Ohio, committed to generously sharing his time at homeless shelters, providing and serving meals. He is dedicated to sharing his career expertise with the next generation of leaders by speaking at local universities and other community enrichment opportunities. He is passionate in his role as a mentor, nurturing the future leadership. His dedication to this cause is truly inspiring and unwavering.
